XPUIPC / XPWideClient update for

I'm not familiar with this product but I would make an attempt to contact(email) the developer of this product to get any real first hand information. They do indicate "we expect this new version to be released in the near future."  Since XP12 is now considered to be in production(official release), most developers are now investing the time and resources to make the required changes. Not when using XPWideclient. Causes CTD.

So you have to wait for XP12 version unfortunately

If you search there is a workaround that relies on FSWIDECLIENT in place of the built in XPUIPC wideclient.   Some have success making it work and others not so.

I have a VRInsight Full Radio Panel and that requires the XPUIPC to make it work.
Unfortunately the latest version I have in XP12 means that half the functionality works and half of it doesn't at all.
I'm being patient and hoping the newest version will resolve the problems, but it is a situation that I am aware of.

Afterall , I had to wait months and months to get XP12 initially so a few more weeks/months should not be

such a hardship ???

here's hoping the developers are hard at work ???

Well clearly this is not true as the developer is apparently planning on releasing an updated version that will support XP12.   With the heavy reliance on datarefs a final release of XP12 is surely a prerequisite for this work to be completed.

Having received several e-mails about this, we are pleased to inform you that a new version of XPUIPC for X-Plane 12 is being worked on and tested. Once it is ready for release, we will share that information.

The update is necessary because the methodology of the plug-in certification system has been changed.

and still waiting. I sent 2 messages to Schiratti and have received no reply yet on the forum it says they are working on it.  I wish they would get on with it and get it out.

And again a month later. I think I need to switch to MSFS and Fenix to use Pilot2Atc on a second machine   . FSUIPC and WideclientFS are running fine. What a pity!

Ive tried again to contact Schiratti. Each time I try to login I have to reset my password and I keep getting told the reset link has expired so maybe Ive been shut out for asking too many questions and wtf they are doing about XPUIPC.

I am trying another tack though. I have found the original author on LinkedIn (Torsten Spiering) and am trying to make contact with him. Ill let you know how that goes.

Hi Robert,  i am still in development, lots of things to do for XP12...yes i agree...it is very slow...perhaps i will release a first version with basic functionality (offsets only)... Lets see...

Don't know what all the talk is about "XP WideClient" because I've never heard of it or used it, and all my plugins work fine with XUIPC 2.0.5.9. Obviously, a couple posts have mentioned problems with with XPWideClient, so do yourself a favor and just uninstall it.

@Sim737Pilot If you run a newtwork setup and have apps on the client machine which need to talk to the server then you need to have XP Wideclient on the client machine so both machines can talk to each other. XPUIPC works fine on a SINGLE machine BUT you need XP Wideclient on a second machine to run the network. XP12 broke XP Wide client as we loved and knew it. Soo XP Wideclient users are awaiting an update for XPUIPC and Wideclient.

In X-Plane 12 I just want to see my little yellow aircraft in the Plan-G v4 map. According the the Plan-G folks I need XPUIPC to do it.

I use XPUIPC for Pilot2ATC with no network and it works find on 12.06b4.

@Hooplahpro if you are not running over a network then I believe XPUIPC runs fine (it does on my server machine). If you run over a network with say XPilot and other app on a client machine you need XWideclient in conjunction with XPUIPC and I believe its the XWideclient which is causing issues - it is for me when I try to run XPilot on a client machine. So if you just run everything on one machien then XPUIPC should run OK.
