Dr. Jamie Bogle talks about what causes dizziness. 

As people age, they are more likely to experience dizziness, with 30 to 50 percent of individuals over 60 to 70 years reporting dizziness. 

The most frequent cause of dizziness is lightheadedness, which can be linked to cardiovascular issues or medication usage. Taking more than four medications increases the risk of dizziness due to side effects or interactions. 

Vestibular disorders, such as ear infections or positional vertigo (bppv), are also prevalent causes of dizziness, especially in older individuals. In many cases, dizziness in older patients is a result of multiple factors, making it challenging to identify and address the specific causes.
