As a CFA Institute candidate, you have our complete support. The Learning Ecosystem (LES) is your all-in-one mobile and desktop study companion, with a wealth of information and tools to aid your CFA exam preparation.

What is the Learning Ecosystem?

The Learning Ecosystem (LES) is a digital learning tool to help you study more effectively by:

Personalizing your learning experience. Making the curriculum more engaging. Giving you convenient access to materials.

You have access to the curriculum for your selected exam plus 1,000+ practice questions, two official mock exams released approximately 60 days before each exam window, study planner, curriculum-based flashcards, and more. The LES is also where you can access your Practical Skills Modules.

Practice Pack

The Practice Pack is an optional add-on to the Learning Ecosystem, including extra practice questions, immediate access to additional official mock exams, and one Prometric mock exam that simulates the exam-day experience. All questions included were written by the same test writers who wrote the questions you’ll see on exam day.

In addition to the study support provided by CFA Institute, you can benefit from extra exam prep courses and materials from third party providers. CFA Institute Prep Providers agree to follow CFA Institute guidelines and standards in their offerings and communications with candidates.

The course of study is broken down into easy-to-understand lessons, with a progress tracker and study planner to help you monitor your performance. As you study, you will receive recommendations and suggested activities based on how you are doing. By being served the right material at the right time, you can focus on the areas you need to work on most.

Once you have enrolled and registered for the CFA Program, you can sign in to access candidate resources including the Learning Ecosystem. Learn more about CFA Candidate resources. You can also download the Learning Ecosystem app to your mobile device.  

You can access the Learning Ecosystem for the entire time you are a registered candidate for a CFA exam.

The Learning Ecosystem (LES) is the platform through which you can access the CFA Program curriculum, mock exams, and Practical Skills Modules. The Practice Pack is an optional study pack that you can purchase and access via the LES. It contains additional mock exams, practice questions, and a simulated mock exam.
