Here you'll find a new wooden pier where it's possible to take a dip. The swimming area has an opening in the middle and a basket with a net under the water, which protects swimmers from strong currents. The new swimming spot at Munkbron connects to the popular “kajbalkong” (quay balcony), which has been in place since 2024. Munkbrohamnen and the quay balcony were among the top three finalists for the Stockholm Building of the Year 2025 and have transformed what was once a dull backside into a popular quay with a fantastic view of Riddarfjärden.
Here you'll find a new wooden pier where it's possible to take a dip. The swimming area has an opening in the middle and a basket with a net under the water, which protects swimmers from strong currents. The new swimming spot at Munkbron connects to the popular “kajbalkong” (quay balcony), which has been in place since 2024. Munkbrohamnen and the quay balcony were among the top three finalists for the Stockholm Building of the Year 2025 and have transformed what was once a dull backside into a popular quay with a fantastic view of Riddarfjärden.

Visit the reception rooms with splendid interiors from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, Rikssalen (the Hall of State) with Queen Kristina’s silver throne, and Ordenssalarna (Halls of the Orders of Chivalry). You can also see Gustav III’s Museum of Antiquities, the Tre Kronor Museum, and the Treasury.
