Ealing Families Directory

The NHS Wheelchair Service is contracted out to AJM Healthcare, who provide specialist seating, mobility and pressure care to adults and children with long term mobility problems.

This service is available to residents who are registered with an Ealing GP. 

AJM Healthcare provides a comprehensive service including clinical assessment, delivery of equipment, repairs and maintenance.

NHS Wheelchairs are available for patients with long-term conditions. You can be referred by your GP or a Health Professional such as a District Nurse, or you can refer yourself by completing a referral form. AJM Healthcare will check your form and offer you an appointment for a clinical wheelchair assessment.

Referral Forms are available from your GP or can be downloaded from the North West London Wheelchair service website 

Please use the main switchboard number 0808 164 2040 for normal
working hours and the out-of-hours emergency repair service.

The emergency repair service will operate from 7am to 9am and 5pm to 11pm on weekdays. Weekend emergency cover operates from 7am to 11pm, including bank holidays.

AJM Healthcare has Wheelchair Assessment Clinics in Park Royal, Wembley, Barnet and at St Charles Hospital in West London. When we will call you to arrange a wheelchair assessment appointment you will be given a choice of locations and time slots.

We operate an open referral system where anyone can refer themselves or a family member - contact the service for further information. Referral forms will be sent out on request to be completed and returned before an initial meeting.
