We currently have an issue when sending emails to the public Microsoft domains (Hotmail.fr, Hotmail.com, Outlook.fr, and Outlook.com).

The problem started around Monday (1 PM).

The symptom is the following: Sometimes emails are correctly distributed, and sometimes they are "bounced" by Microsoft with the following NDR (see attachment).

5.3.0 - Other mail system problem 550-"5.7.515 Access denied, sending domain XXX.XX doesn't meet the required authentication level. The sender's domain in the 5322.From address doesn't meet the authentication requirements defined for the sender. On the NDR, there is a URL that mentions this protection for "high volume senders" (more than 5000 messages from the same domain).

Please note that we have an application (that sends a lot of emails, sender : XXXX) that was migrated to the new infra on the 11st of june (that was one Week before our issues).

However, the issue exists on both senders : user (O365) and application (Cisco Onprem).

In the NDR, we can see the following: "Spf= Pass , Dkim= Fail , DMARC= Pass".

We can see as attached, The DKIM record is valid and correct.

On attachment, you can see that the header "From" and the sender are aligned (RFC5322.From and RFC5321.From).

On the NDR, they said that we may have a DKIM issue.

However, we do not have any issues sending emails to other internet domains as Gmail, Yahoo…etc….
